Just had to say, great test on the V7 Classic. I really like how the bike was judged on its merits as an all-round motorcycle, rather than flogging it on the racetrack like a GSXR or down a dragstrip like a V-MAX. I know a lot of people like the hard data and numbers such testing produces, myself included, but this bike should be judged by how it makes a rider feel, and it sounds like it makes a rider feel good. The price is a little high in terms of performance-per-dollar, but it seems so much better than cruiser-type bikes in the same price bracket. Oh yeah, it's also Italian. On a side note; Uwe, I feel your pain. At 5'10" and around 225lbs, I too could be described as cherubic, in a Trailer Park Boys kinda way. But don't feel too bad; have you seen any recent photos of Cycle World's David "Boss Hoss" Edwards? That magazine must have a special budget just to keep the Editor in leathers, as he has really expanded in the last ten years or so. Also, I was initially let down by the "nudity" hinted at in some of the other posts on the forum commenting on this month's issue. But I felt better once I seen the ad for the, um, racing gloves on page 18. Nice.
