I went out for a KLR romp through the foothills N.W. of Calgary yesterday and the intermittent rain made for some nice photo lighting. We spent 6 hours on the trails in this terrain. We got stuck a couple times, fell down a couple times, got covered in mud, had it wash off from the rain, filled my boots with water during a stream crossing and ended up in a small town bar waiting out a heavy rain... a good day all in all. Here's a couple photo's of the KLR's during a rest stop.

Hmmm - my wife's being talking about some opportunities for her in Calgary. This kind of thing only encourages me to go along with her. Is she in on this with you??

Well, if we weren't all so bashful maybe we could include a human being in one or two of these shots. How can we build a CC Community if we're too shy to step in front of the camera once in a while? Don't get me wrong, SBC, the KLR's are pretty in a kinda dusty way, but it would have been nice if you had included at least one shot with Don's wife in it. Maybe next time.

Sure, but they were only wearing helmets and assless chaps, and this is a family publication.

haha Yep, you really don't want to go for that ass-less chaps look in the back country. Besides having a pic of me dressed down like that would be more than slightly detrimental to the future subscription rate. I'll make a point of getting in front of the camera for next time.

The next round of photos and video happens this weekend when a few friends and I (30+ of us) head into the B.C. interior for our annual run. The weather is going to be 30C+ hot and we're all ATGATT-types so be prepared for sweaty westerner photos in a week or so. We're expecting 4 or 5 days of motorcycle-related hedonism. With more videos to follow :D
