With the start of a new week and the return of the forum faithful to their various work stations, I have come across a little morsel that should provide some inspiration in your pursuit of the almighty dollar.

I’ve just read that Brad Pitt and his femme-fatale, Angelina Jolie, are moving to France - more specifically, they have purchased an 850-year-old stone house in Eygalieres. The thespian duo had originally looked at buying the $20 million property a year ago, but lost interest when Mr. Pitt was informed that he would not be allowed to build a motorcycle track within the confines of its five-acre garden.

However, as it turned out, the local council have rescinded their previous decision and will allow the construction of a private track on the Pitt property. With boxes and bikes being packed for their trip to Europe, I found myself wondering which motorcycles are to be found in the Pitt stable.

Of the photos I came across, it wasn’t a surprise to find representatives of the exotic (read expensive) variety. Take for example the first photo below which shows Mr. Pitt riding a $60,000 Ecosse Heretic. Other, more common fare models include an MV Agusta Brutale, a Ducati S4R Monster, and a BMW GS1150 Adventure. His interest in motorcycles appears to be broad spectrum, as he also owns at least one customized chopper.

If we had to look for his inspiration to build a custom track, I’m sure it would be found in the Ducati Desmosedici RR. Although Tom Cruise holds the honour of being the first stateside recipient of this limited edition model, Brad Pitt, Denzel Washington and Michael Jordan are other celebrities that have paid the $75,000 price tag for ownership of the Italian exotic.

Considering the amount of children in Brad and Angelina family, it looks like the Pitt lane in their backyard promises to be a busy one.

It's nice to see he actually rides the bikes, and wears the gear (although the sneakers in the first shot may not have CE approved armour)
