Oh c'mon! That's a hell of a stretch. There's a big difference between being asked to keep track of something extremely specific and holding an overview that prevents you from hitting objects such as cyclists.

Or let me put it another way: safe driving/riding involves constantly scanning the road ahead, and not counting the amount of passengers in the bus beside you. I understand they wanted to make a point, but unfortunately the tool they were using had nothing with reality.
