Why CC chooses to insult our intelegence when we attend the Vancouver Motorcycle Show and I'm accausted by bimbos trying to sell me a subscription? In fact its my wife who holds the CC script in the house, and the bimbos wouldnt even talk to here till she basically forced one to sell her one for 20 bucks last year. The other Canadian mags send out editors to the shows to sell scripts not the hired silicone squad from the tanning salon to pump men for scripts. Honestly My wife and I are both insulted by the tactic and If we can effect change on the way CC markets to motorcyclists then great. Since the 70s I havent read CC becasue some bimbo sold me a subscription its becuase of the quality of the Canadian magazine. There are 4 now in the Canadian market. There. Im done now.
Geez, Brian, I went to the show here in Toronto and, while the young woman in the booth was pretty, I don't think tanning or silicone were in any way part of her particular aesthetic equation. Other booths, oh yeah. Plastic upper fairings, plastic lowers, enhancements galore.
The only one who accosted me was Neil. You wet coasters get all the breaks!

Thanks for the comments Brian. Hopefully we'll be able to improve on our performance next year. I'll pass your thoughts on to those that handle subscription sales.
Wait, you can get a subscription for those?
No wonder so many move out west.

I feel cheated as well. Neil accosted me and although it was fun to kibitz about favourite roads, and areas for magazine improvement - I would have much preferred the "enhanced" and more "bimboesque" talent that other booths were shilling. :)
Hey Neil - where are those maps you were going to send me?

The lovely gal at the booth was the main reason I stopped there. She was knowledgeable about the magazine too.
My only complaint was that I didn't get the March issue as I was promised...
It's a bike show for goodness' sake. Should she have worn a burqa?;)

It never ceases to amaze me how some people over react to a pretty girl / woman working at a trade show selling something. Mr. Hawkmeister's comments are ridiculous.
Salesmen tend to ignore women when it comes to technical issues too unless its at Home Depot in the Kitchen area. lol
I re-newed(sp) my subscription because I look forward to my CC every month.
Extending a subscription for the unreal deal of two years for that rate was a fabulous deal and the professional person working at the booth was courteous and pleasant.

If you had read my post thouroughly and understood the post you would have noted that it wasnt just me that was offeneded by the behaviour of the sales girls at the Vancouver show. It was my wife with 32 years riding experience who was snubbed by the sales staff. The sales staff was far too busy trying to hump my leg trying to get me to purchase one. My wife who wanted the script was not even in the game. I feel the sales staff where underequipped to sell to women or experienced motorcyclists, and at the Vancouver show the bar was set by the other Canadian mags with editorial staff selling the scripts and obviously I hold my personal bar a lot higher than you do Mr RainRider and thats ok....
My coments could very well be deamed rediculous by someone who is easily duped and lead around by his other little brain. Im sure many men would find a woman quite pleasant to deal with when her chest is pouring out of her tight shirt and she is overly friendly and almost humping your leg to sign you up. Different shows may have varried results but for us this is how the Vancouverr shows have been.
I for one dont want to have my intelegence insulted by people thinking Ill buy a product cause a pretty girl is selling it. Ask any manufacture right now who is the largest "target market" for motorcycles and Im sure they will tell you women.

I did indeed read your post completely.
Being around this pastime as long as you two have should not have surprised or phased you at the bike show. I was at the Toronto show and the people at the booth were not inappropriate and what does it matter how they look?
Its just a subscription to CC and the price was / is amazing!!!!
You already know if you want the magazine anyway. The people selling scripts don't really have to know anything about motorcycling. Their job is to facilitate the sale of product and that is it.
BTW, I owned an 88 Hawk GT that I souped up quite a bit. Still have a hankering for it wishing it was still in the garage.

Whats wrong with pretty young women with big boobs.
If you don't want them I will gladly take them off of your hands and put them directly on my face.
Yummy.
Neil if you need a boob inspector, I will volunteer and take one for the team
