The Bavarian elves have been very, very busy; rolling out of their workshop are a new slew of dirt goblins on which adventurers can plan their next great escape.

2008 F800GS - This mid-size dual sport may be the next big hit for BMW.

2008 F650GS - Don't let the name fool you; the motor is the same 800 twin as found in other F-models, but neutered for lower power output.

2008 R1200GS - Redesigned and with more power; intended to keep their best-seller selling.

2008 R1200GS-Adventure - As big as a mountain, and able to move them too.

I've read several reviews, & what nobody seems to mention is that the new 800's burn more gas, (super premium at that) and carry less fuel. They look sexy and ready, but I think I'll stick with my current ride,at least until they offer up something with better legs. An adventure version might be the answer, but the extra weight would probably be a deal breaker. I do think it's pretty impressive that they can offer these new bikes at that price though.

Nope, still can't mind-read (at least not according to my wife)... Your current machine would be what, exactly?
