Thought I would start with this one.

This poor guy had to know he was going to be famous. Let's hope he has since decided to surrender his high bars, and chose life in lieu of conspicuousness.

Consider going easy on him with your comments boys and girls..

Now where's that female scooter rider with her open face helmet on backwards? hahaha

Never mind the airbag on Honda's no-longer-being-built-in-the-USA Gold Wing, check out the protective gear this guy is using.

Ok so it's actually a scooter, but I just couldn't resist sticking this one in.

Hey , y'all leave the dude with them apes alone now . He is simply placing himself in the internationally recognized sign of "I surrender officer ". Any good law enforcement officer would only appreciate a cooperative citizen . .

Now , as for the image of the male and female on the scooter , once again , this is obviously a well thought out plan where the rider is not only making good use of limited space but also , allowing himself to ensure a health lasting relationship . Nothing like the love of riding :)

Oh yes , and leave the dude alone , the one who owns the scooter with the roof an d side curtains . hell , this is an accessory on just about every Goldwing and I don't hear many of y'all saying bad things about Goldwing riders .

Hey, Ivor, you're not implying VTR's belong in the same category as these other images, are you? Maybe it's the shocking pipe-and-(tank)slippers modifications the owner of this yellow example has applied that upset you. Maybe it's your bike, I don't know.

I can assure you my '98 VTR is almost completely stock - and will be back closer to stock as soon as I remove the stupid rear suspension shim I put in last fall. It makes me feel like Mr. Ape Hanger, only inverted.

Hi Tim, yep that`s my VTR and no I didn`t mean to imply the she should be included in this thread. Not while I still own her that is. But it will be gone in the spring and then I`ll be free to tell everyone how boring VTR`s are , especially when they are bone stock and silver.

Dude! That hurts! If boring is not what you want I strongly suggest a 6 mm shim on top of the rear shock mount. You will be paying attention. Definitely not boring.

Two questions: 1. What's the replacement? 2. Are you selling the hi-mount pipes separately?

Sorry tim but I couldn`t resist the comeback. It goes to show how unscrupulous I am when I can slag my own bike just to get a dig in. It`s funny how people see bikes differently. I bought my VTR three years ago but if it had been any colour except YELLOW I wouldn`t have touched it. Also I only had her two weeks before the UPS guy dropped off the Hindle race cans. Only other mods, apart from cosmetic, is a 520 chain conversion.
New bike? well I`m getting to be a bit long in the tooth so I need something to compliment my old guy with the bike image so I`ve got it narrowed down to a low mileage late ZX1100 or Honda blackbird.

No worries! I completely understand. I bought my VTR new in '98 and drooled over the silver (with the yellow spring and gold calipers offset so nicely by the charcoal wheels, ahem!). I've toyed with changing the cans but the cash never seemed to be there. I did add Heli bars last year, and that has made a huge difference to my 53 year old wrists...

As for your "old guy with a bike" image, you've got at least these two choices: 1. Wear a full-face so no-one knows (that's what I do) or 2. Merge the yellow of the VTR with the Black Blackbird and do the biggest, fastest, "I'm old and don't give a shit what you think" bumblebee! That's the best part about growing old. You just don't have to care what anybody thinks anymore.

ZX1100 or Blackbird? The only thing yellow will be the stripe down my back.

I think the guy on the chopper belongs in one of those TV ads for the casino where everyone is trying to do everything with their hands in the air.
That ad always makes me think they must feel like they have been held up by the casino.....

I have no words to accurately describe that abomination . I knowm in japan , the big rigs there are covered top to bottom with every light know to man and alien , but , to see that i a bike is nothing short of a bad dream coming to life . Well m, I suppose it DOES have one positive part to it ( referring to this image alone ) Its a hawg and with those new fangled lower skirts , the flying off parts , nuts and bolts should , for the most part be contained within the shrouded section :-)

I was going to make a comment about Harleys not leaning much anyway, but then I took a closer look at the pic and realized that it has a sidecar!!!! You can see the front of it projecting beyond the front wheel of the bike with 2 flags on it.

Please note that I would never do that to a sidecar outfit.

Unless they gave me my own cabel show and paid me big bucks to create undrivable atrocities.

I can see it now: Victoria County Sidecars - a new abomination every week and holes drilled in tires at no charge...

That's not a sidecar. It's his buddy's Billy Bike.

"... Please note that I would never do that to a sidecar outfit. ...

Doing THAT to an y bike is nothing short of criminal but I think that in the case of this dude , he MAY be be able to please not guilty by reason of insanity and hope like hell the judge buys into his plee because if it was me , i would hang my sorry assed head in shame for taking what had the potential to be a decent motorcycle and turning it into a 70's disco outfit on wheels .
