This is even better than Randy Mamola's save back in the 80s. http://www.streetfire.net/video/AMAZING-RECOVERY_175339.htm?Ref=Blog

Hey Jimo, this video made the rounds here a while ago, and I think the general consensus back then was that it was staged. It might have been Tim that argued the hardest that the camera angle and bike motion was inconsistent with the real thing. Sure is entertaining though...

Great video! I loved it. Watched it a dozen times at least. Now once or twice more.

Total scam, of course (is that too strident?). Notice how the camera moves relative to the bike when the guy's on it yet moves WITH the bike when he's off & running. I think the "bike" is harnessed to the tow vehicle, which is where the camera's mounted. Also, just how fast can this guy run??? Conversely, just how slowly can the bike roll and remain vertical? How quickly can it decelerate off throttle so he can catch up? Sorry, too many convenient physical impracticalities for me to believe it.

Entertaining, though, in a "wouldn't this be soo coool if it really happened?" kind of way.

Adding to what Tim said, there's also the actual "dismount" of the rider. I don't know of too many guys that just throw their hands in the air and fall off a bike backward. He then hits the ground without sliding and is up and running so fast, you just know it was planned. Another over the top touch was the two passing bikes that dramatically had to zig-zag around the runaway bike even though their current line would have been fine.
