Definitely staged.
Think of a pseudo-half-bike, strapped onto the back of a real bike - like those half-bicycles parents bolt onto their own bicycles so they can tow the kids around (and kick them in the head getting on and off...that's what the helmets are REALLY for).
The real bike has a camera on the back and makes it look like the real thing. Too bad the fake bike moves relative to the camera, otherwise it might have worked. No way could such an event occur without the "bike" oscillating itself into the ground within a few seconds of the "rider" falling off (which in itself looked staged).
Fun to watch, though. And wouldn't it be a treat if it were real?

I've seen plenty of racing videos where the rider falls off and the bike continue on until it hits something. I agree this video looks a little too polished, but I don't get your point about the camera moving with the bike. If it was real, wouldn't it move with the bike?

"...and kick them in the head getting on and off..."- that made me spit my lunch out laughing.
I've seen video where the rider falls off and the mount went on to win the race! No kidding! Of course it was a horse, but no less amazing to watch.
Makes ya wonder what good is the rider?
Too bad I can't seem to find the video on that website.

Exactly, because it would be fixed to the bike and, aside from flexing of rubber vibration dampers, the bike would not really appear to move relative to the camera.
I saw what looked to me to be 'way too much bike movement to make this look like the camera was on the bike.

Let me know when we get to the milk/beer passing through the nose level. I aspire to greatness!
