so, I open my mail this morn and what shows up? A newsletter from that fantastic Passion Performance Motorcycle site. Funny, I don't remember signing up to have this sort of thing delivered to my mailbox. Those Passion Performance Motorcycle guys are getting pretty good at promoting their new name. Too bad Cycle Canada had to go by the wayside to get it done but that's the way it goes now days. You get a new CEO and he (or she) has to change things up to stick their mark on it.

The newsletter? It's a re-hash of info that fantastic Passion Performance Motorcycle site has on it already. It's as if they didn't expect me to get outside the forum page and into where the really slick advertising is. Hell, there's expanding ads I haven't even seen yet! The news? It's close to being new... but not really. A couple weeks is a long time in web-land and any recent visitor to the fantastic Passion Performance Motorcycle website has probaby read it already. I wonder if this was a test run for the actual up-to-date stuff? Hopefully. It is the web afterall and your readers expect news to be current. Unlike that what was it.. oh yeah.. it take a minute to remember the name... Cycle Canada magazine; where you could get away with slightly older info as a trade off for greater depth in description or interesting storyline... if it's a news letter, it had better be up-to-date news or the creators will just get laughed at.

Is it another addition to the arsonel of info the Passion Performance Motorcycle guys have lined up for 'us'... the averge reader? Will it help sell subscriptions to whatever motorcycle magazine sells them cheapest to the Passion Performance Motorcycle group? We'll have to see. I can hardly wait to see where they put the next drop-down ad.

monday morning...
pre-coffee.

Thanks for the comments Neil. You shouldn't have received the newsletter if you didn't sign up for it, so I'm checking into that.

As far as the content is concerned, I'm afraid that's my fault. There's not much I can say at the moment except that I'm working on improving the situation.

The Newsletter has been emailed to all the original forum members. If you find it annoying or don't wish to have it show up in your inbox, there's a link at the bottom of the page that will unsubscribe you.

The Newsletter is still in development and your complaints have been registered. Future versions will be more compact, only reflecting new activity on the website. The frequency that they will be sent may also be adjusted.
