Uwe W:
Saw your bike for sale. Identicle to mine exept mine is an 03 model.
My question: Is the double bubble was worth the money. Would you do it again?

I bought the extra height screen for a long trip I did. If you're going to use it for touring, at speed, it's well worth the money.

Or, if you don't tour but do a lot of high speed runs, I found it gives taller guys (I'm 6'1") a place to get their head out of the wind blast. With the standard screen I found my vision was blurring (no joke) from helmet buffeting when I went past the 240 mark.

However, there was a side-effect that I didn't count on. The double bubble deflects more air from the torso, so at slower speeds (100 and under) I found my wrists were getting sore because the air that used to help hold my weight was gone.

The good thing is that it only takes a few minutes to swap screens, so it isn't a big deal to have the right one on for what you're up to on any given day.

Hey, I'll sell you my screen. $9,900 for the screen, and it comes with a free 05 Hayabusa! :D

Good luck...

The DB screen did reduce a lot of buffeting for me, but it caused more for my passenger!

On a busa, or another model?

My wife rode on the busa once and did not like it. To used to the old 75 GL1000 that is in my garage. So no passenger considerations regarding the double bubble.

Anybody that makes windscreens out of bubble gum is surely gonna blow it.
