I just watched the video...
When you guys do the comparison in the spring against the Bimmer, why not find an original XTZ750 Super Tenere, or even better a TDM850, since they never gave us the 900 here, to compare to what the bike used to/could have been. It would be nice to see a Stelvio in the mix too, since the Yamahog makes it look like a lightweight, and the Guzzi has more HP. If you can round up enough bodies, it would be interesting to hear how the F800GS compares as well.
Personally I think the new Tenere is too heavy for an adventure bike, and will end up as primarily a poser's touring bike; while the real adventurers go elsewhere...probably to the upcoming Tiger 800XC. Mind you, most of the BMW GS boxers bikes never go very far off road either...the real off roaders are far more likely to use an F800GS.
Despite being a Yamaha guy, I've already pretty much ruled out the new Super Ten because of it's sheer mass. I didn't want shaft or ABS, but here we are, stuck with both. Too bad Yamaha...
Oh, speaking of ABS on ADV bikes, you have to love this video of a BMW GS ABS system at work off-road :
