Well , most of y'all know by now that rather then work for a living like most normal people , I attend and study image arts at Ryerson University . ( OK , so ya , I work there part time as well ) Well , I wanted to share some good news with y'all . I got my partial grades back already and am pleased to say that I actually did better than I had expected . I started the school year with a 3.33 GPA and finished the fall term with a 3.44 .

I had one course in the winter term that I was certain was going to bring that down a bit , in fact , I was fully expecting this to happen . Instead , while the final mark for that course has not been released as of yet , my OVERALL GPA was released two days ago and I finished this academic year with a 3.66 GPA .

The reason I mention this at all is because no doubt , some of y' all either have familiy members who had contemplated going back to school , or , have familiy members who , like me have a variety of learning disabilities that were told they would never make it .. blah blah blah . Well , Ok , I heard this as well but I had HUGE support from my school who backed me 100000 % .

Ya , I spell like shit , talk funny , write like crap ( DRS. have impecable writing compared to mine ) and have the attention span of , well , ain't really got one . So , if any of y' all were thinking of headin' on back but was not sure you can do it , or , if any of your familiy members have doubts about being able to study for what ever reason , FUH-GIT-ABOUT-IT .... a great school can help you work through that and go out of thier way to make sure you do succeed .

I'm in it for the long haul and never knwo , in 5 or 7 hundred years , I may have to chang emy name from spock to PROF. spock

Thanks for the supprt y' all

Congrats man... As one that went back to school in his 30's and never looked back I agree whole heartedly with your sentiment. I was the oldest guy in my class for a couple years and took great pleasure in relating real-life situations into the classroom discussions. I remember having a heated discussion with my english teacher in that my dangling participle (ya, I KNOW that opens me up for slander) was part of a writing style whereas she figured it was wrong no matter what. It was good fun and lead to great job opportunities.

That's your next challenge. Get a job! Better yet... get a haircut and get a real job!

OK , Hold on a sec. lets get one thing really REALLY clear here , Ok , what was that again n? Sorry , I missed that . Oh ya , I ain't cutting my hair anytime soon , don't have to either :) and as for getting a real job , hmmmm , I would have to ask myself , self , would I hire me ? :) If I answer myself back , i need to check into the local hospital ward for those with mental deviantions ..... but they have really cool long sleve jackets :)

Dude! Good job! That's great news!

And thanks for giving me a chance to practise what I'm gonna say to my youngest when he gets in from Dal tonight. I can only hope his GPA is where yours is. And that he gets a job. I gave up on his hair a long time ago.

Good job Mrs. Pock! Maybe you'll find yourself a job as an art director for some motorcycle magazine some day... :D

Excellent news Mrs. Pock. Well done indeed and deserving of a few pints.
You are an inspiration to us all. Better man than I, would hate to contemplate heading back to school.

Please give our warmest regards to Mr. Pock.
(aint I a stinker?)

As someone that went back to school I now it's quite a challenge. So this sound great, and to land a job at CC with the 8 digit salaries, fringe benifefits, and rub shoulders with the upper crust wow! They could use the help. Just kidding, but a great big CONGRATS!!!!!

Hey , I would take a job at Cycle Canada for alot less than an 8 digit salary . Hell , give me 35K a year and a bike of my choice to keep for ever ( Honda ST 1300 ) and I would even spell morer betterer , shave one a month , stick out my pinky finger as I sip them fancy cans of coke with the big wigs ... but I ain't cuttin' my hair , not gonna stop listening to my industrial goth and punk rock music and I will need a kick ass computer monitor ... when do i start :)
