How about a signal from one bike to another as we pass each other signifying clear road ahead with no police?

Nice idea but how can you be sure that a cop didn`t pull onto the hwy just after you passed by? You could wave some poor bugger right into a trap.
IB.
Better to signal that there IS a radar trap ahead instead of when there isn't one, no?
Imagine sitting in the pub and having everybody waving like crazy at the waitress just to let her know they don't need a refill just yet?
Actually that might be pretty funny.........
My understanding is that a dog-petting motion with the clutch hand was the sign to slow down for whatever reason, moose, enforcement, bad road, insurgents, etc...

I'm talking about a nice ride in the mountains or country where I have just enjoyed a particular juicy bit of road and upon passing a fellow rider coming the other way letting him or her know that I enjoyed it and that he can do the same. I am thinking the hawaii sign with thumb and baby finger extended.
Sure, could work. As in "It's all good" ?
I think a more accurate warning would be "It's NOT all good". You know, some hand gesture indicating you're about to run into a difficult situation back there. I propose the classic middle digit of the clutch hand, extended from a closed fist in traditional form, but with the digit up and pointing back, over your shoulder, towards the risk in question, arm pumping three or more times.
I'm thinking we should publicize this a lot before actually using it. Misunderstandings could be painful, especially if the approaching rider you're trying to warn is wearing colours.

He would be none to pleased to get a ticket after I gave him the all clear either. But you guys are missing the point again. I'm all for the not safe signals. But what I'm talking about is a freindly gesture not much more than a wave but with an all clear message attached. A small gift of impunity if you will.
