I'm a subscriber, and a bit of a photography nut, so I enjoy seeing and reading the Timeline story in each issue. Some of the photos remind me of the best rides I've had, and rides I want to have. So I thought why doesn't CC just pick 12 of the best photos, go down to Zellers and pop 'em in the photo machine and for a few extra bucks on our subscriptions they could include a cool calendar each year made from those photos!
What do you guys think?

Big thumbs up from me!
I'd be concerned. Think back to a few of the less tasteful photos that have appeared in the magazine. Unless your name is Mayla it could ruin your whole month, and KZDon would have more than anyone needs to complain about.

Calendars with new subscriptions! What a great idea? Who do I send my address to? :)

I'll come in from the other side, since I don't need yet another calendar.
Last year I noticed that Staples had a system that enabled you to make up your own calendar using images supplied by yourself. Just over $8.00 each, adequate if not spectacular printing quality, and the pictures are exactly what I want in a calendar. In my case it related to another hobby interest. So why not consider taking or saving pictures of other bikes, or maybe have a collection of shots showing your own in various locations and seasons, or cranked over at the local track's hairpin.
Quite a few companies offer the service, although some cost more than others. But it was fun to do, and gave me a unique calendar. Unique that is, except about half a diozen friends then requested one so I had a few more made up! It works best if your pictures are already in digital format.

Ok, so Howcome the newsstand copy in the plastic bag gets a free calendar and little old me, a subscriber doesn't. How do I get my mitts on one without buying another copy of one I've pretty much worn out.

We phoned CC and was told that we either had to buy a magazine or go and buy a calendar from Chapters (for us a 4 hour round trip to the nearest one). The calendar is supposed to be an incentive to get new readers, what about a subscriber from the early eighties. I guess we don't matter anymore. Oh well there are options now for us Canadian readers/riders.

Hmm, I think they've got that the wrong way round, sure go buy them separate at chapters, but it should be a subscriber perk. This seems like a snub to those of us faithful to CC. Maybe they should be giving them away at the bike show, we all know where the flyers all the tire kickers collect end up anyway.

For those of you who are handy with a camera, I think CC should do something similar to what Road Runner does.
They chose several photos each month that subscribers have submitted and publish them at the back of the magazine - nice touch I think.
A calendar could be produced from some or all of the chosen photos in a callage format for each month.

Good idea here...........it's simple,we get to show off our pride and joy, one submitted photo per forum member, let forum members vote on what photo's make it to the pictures in the CC mag, chance to see ( online ) friends bikes, with the option once a year of maybe saving the pic's electronically off the forum as well to go and generate our own calander?
